What are the benefits of training?
Who wants to undertake a task without the knowledge or skills to do so successfully? Well, there are some with a particular learning style who do, but for the vast majority some relevant training (learning) is welcomed! There has been much research into how training can best be delivered, but one element always scores highly as most desired by delegates: time off the job to really think about their work and time spent with colleagues developing ideas for working more effectively. Above all, training and the investment in training is one of the principal factors in staff satisfaction and retention.

What does a typical training session look like?
Difficult one this, most of our training sessions are tailored to best meet the needs of the client, the delegates and the subject matter! However, there are some consistent elements. Whether we deliver our training online, or face-to-face, you are guaranteed an experienced and engaging facilitator. We use a mixture of presentation, interactive exercises and facilitated discussion to satisfy the required learning objectives. Every group is different, so we don’t script training sessions, but we do focus and balance each session in real time to make sure every group enjoys the very best experience. We will always offer a one-to-one discussion with any delegates that need a little more personal or confidential discussion, either during the session or afterwards. It is really common for delegates to feed back after our sessions that it was “way better than expected” (We like that!)

Why should I outsource training?
It is not always necessary to outsource training. There is often a judgement to be made between training run internally, by people who know the business well, and externally – with professional trainers who have a wide knowledge of lots of different business contexts and good practice (not to mention what doesn’t work) from different industries and organisations. If you have colleagues who can undertake training and your organisation is of sufficient size, we can offer ‘train the trainer’ courses with tailored materials specifically aimed at achieving your objectives.

Why do I need HR help?
There are many reasons why an employer may need HR help. Sometimes they don’t have any (or sufficient) internal HR resource. In other cases, a given case appears just too complex for their own HR people to handle. Bringing together a wealth of experience in HR and employment law, we can help navigate scenarios that may seem impenetrable and help you bring about the best possible outcomes.
